兵庫楠（ヒョウゴクスノキ）
産地；兵庫県（県木）
「成長が早く、生命力にあふれた雄大な姿が兵庫県を象徴する。」という理由で兵庫県の県木に指定されました。そして、もう一つの理由に楠木正成公が1336年に自刃して最期を遂げた地が兵庫県神戸市中央区にあります。その後、その地に湊川神社の御祭神として祀られ「楠公さん（なんこうさん）」と呼ばれ親しまれています。
クスノキ科ニッケイ属の常緑高木で樹高は2～30ｍと高く大きく育ちます。樹齢は1000年を超えるものもあり、生命と霊験を感じる力強い銘木のひとつです。春には白から淡黄色の花が咲きます。

Origin: Hyogo Prefecture (Prefectural Tree)
The tree was designated as the prefectural tree of Hyogo Prefecture because of its rapid growth and majestic appearance, which symbolizes the vitality and strength of the region. Another reason is its historical connection to Kusunoki Masashige, who committed suicide in 1336 in what is now Chuo Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. He is enshrined there as the deity of Minatogawa Shrine and is affectionately known as “Nankō-san.”
Belonging to the Lauraceae family, Cinnamomum species are evergreen tall trees that can grow between 2 and 30 meters. Some live for over 1,000 years, making them a remarkable tree that embodies life and spiritual power. In spring, it produces flowers ranging from white to pale yellow.
