黒松は島根県の県木です。
島根県出雲市は出雲大社で有名ですが、因幡の白兎や『古事記』『日本書紀』に登場する国ゆずり神話でも知られています。 古来より日本の歴史とは切っても切れない重要な神秘の場所です。
少なくとも100年以上経たないと木材としては使えないといわれ、その理由として心材の部分しか使えず、辺材の白い部分は柔らかく水分も多いのでカビが生えることがあげられます。
松くい虫や塩害にて急激に原木が減少して入手困難になっている非常に貴重な木です。
島根の県木
黒松は島根県の県木です。昭和41年9月10日に制定されました。
島根の海岸部から里山地帯に分布し、防風林としてだけでなく経済林としても利用されており、
景勝地や風致林、庭園樹として県民に古くから親しまれています。

Izumo is famous for having Izumo Taisha Shrine, but it is a place also known for Inaba’s white rabbits and Kuniyuzuri myths that appear in the Japanese myths “Kojiki” and “Nihonshoki”, It is an important mysterious place since ancient that cannot be cut from Japanese history.
It is said that it cannot be used as wood material until at least 100 years have passed, because only the heartwood part can be used, and the white part of the sapwood is soft and has a lot of water, so mold grows.
It is a very valuable tree that has become difficult to obtain due to the rapid decrease in logs due to pine worms and salt damage.
